Overview

The Berlin-Warsaw Express is jointly operated by Deutsche Bahn (DB), the German national railway company and PKP, the Polish State Railways. It unites the revitalized city of Berlin in Germany with the city of Warsaw in Poland. The Berlin-Warsaw Express trains operate three times a day. The journey takes approximately 6 hours. The trains are modern with air-conditioned carriages and restaurant cars. The Berlin-Warsaw Express is also known as Berlin-Warszawa Express.

Practical information

Before Boarding

While there is no check-in prior to boarding, make sure you have time to find your platform. We advise you to arrive at least 10 minutes before the departure.

Onboard

All carriages have air-condition and power sockets.

Luggage racks are provided in every Berlin Warsaw Express carriage.

You can enjoy a good meal on the Berlin Warsaw Express. The dining car offers hot and cold dishes, sandwiches, beer, wine, coffee and pastries. In addition to the standard dishes, the menu often features German and European regional specialities.

Passengers in 1st class will get a free drink and a small snack.

Booking and Printing Options

Berlin - Warsaw Express tickets are open for booking 60 days ahead.

Prices are global prices (ticket includes a reservation) for 1st and 2nd Class.

Get the lowest prices by booking early and don’t wait until the last minute as cheaper seats sell the fastest.

Opt for off-peak trains when you have to travel short notice. They are more affordable than morning and evening trains along with those running on holiday eves, Friday and Sunday afternoon.

Classes of service

The Berlin Warsaw Express trains provide two classes of service: Standard Class and First Class. Berlin Warsaw Express First Class

Upgrading to First Class on the Berlin Warsaw Express gains you more legroom and comfort. Usually there is only one 1st class car on each train. Seats are arranged in groups of six per compartment or three per row (2+1 combination) with open-plan arrangement.

Berlin Warsaw Express Second Class

In Berlin Warsaw Standard Class, seating is arranged in both compartment coaches, either six seats per compartment or carriages with open-plan arrangement with four seats per row (2+2 combination).

Die Definition, wann man als "Kind" oder "Jugendlicher" gilt, variiert je nach Land bzw. Betreiber. Daher fragen wir vor Beginn jeder Suchanfrage nach dem Alter der jungen Reisenden.

Kinder bis zu einem bestimmten Alter können manchmal kostenlos ohne eigenen Sitzplatz mitreisen. Um zu gewährleisten, dass dein Kind einen eigenen Sitzplatz erhält, gib bitte '6' als Alter des Kindes ein.
