Treni per Bourg-Saint-Maurice

Bourg-Saint-Maurice is the uppermost of the main-line railway stations in the Tarentaise region of the French Alps. Direct trains from London, Paris and other cities serve resorts along the Isère Valley, all terminating at Bourg-Saint-Maurice towards the head of the valley. From the town, it is a short ride on the Arc-en-Ciel funicular to reach the Les Arcs ski area. This is a world-class ski area in its own right, but it also has excellent cable-car links with other pistes in the Paradiski complex. Bourg-Saint-Maurice is also the nearest railhead to the ski resorts at Val d’Isère, Tignes, Sainte-Foy and La Rosière.

Yet Bourg-Saint-Maurice is more than just a winter sports centre. This mountain town in Savoie enjoys a fabulous Alpine setting with easy access to the Vanoise National Park. So it’s a popular summer destination too, not merely for mountaineers and serious hikers but also for families and others just wanting to enjoy some of the finest scenery in the Alps.

It is easy to reach Bourg-Saint-Maurice by train. During the ski season, Eurostar operate both direct daytime and overnight services from London and Ashford to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. There are also special high-speed daytime trains for the winter sports market running directly to Bourg-Saint-Maurice from Amsterdam, Brussels and Lille.

From Paris, there is a good choice of daytime trains to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, supplemented by an overnight TGV on peak travel days (seats only, no couchettes or sleepers). The fastest TGVs speed from Paris to Bourg in under five hours.

This excellent range of long-distance trains aside, Bourg-Saint-Maurice also has regular local trains to Albertville and Chambéry, with some of these trains continuing beyond Chambéry to Lyon or Aix-les-Bains. At certain times of year, rail operator SNCF also runs buses on the Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Chambéry route. Our booking system clearly shows which services are run by trains and which are operated by buses.

Passeggeri giovani e bambini
