For many visitors to France, the new town of Marne-la-Vallée on the eastern outskirts of Paris means just one thing: the Disneyland Paris resort. It is located amid a maze of motorways and industrial estates about 30 kilometres outside the French capital. But wide-eyed visitors to the magic kingdom don’t worry about the suburban sprawl. The resort attracts kids of all ages, and it’s easy to reach by train. Disneyland Paris has its own dedicated railway station. It’s called Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, and it’s just a short walk from the station to the Disneyland resort.

Curiously, you’ll find the station full of people who have no interest in Disney. Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy is a busy rail hub, much favoured by residents of Paris’ eastern suburbs. There are also many cross-country itineraries in France which require a change of train here, so even those who mock the idea of Mickey Mouse with a beret and baguette eventually end up changing trains at Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy.

The station has an excellent range of direct TGV services to stations across France. Destinations include Bordeaux, Marseille, Nantes and Strasbourg. There are international services too, with direct trains to Brussels and London. The latter is the long-standing Eurostar train which runs (but not daily) from St Pancras, Ebbsfleet and Ashford to Disneyland Paris. The direct link from Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy to Antwerp, Rotterdam and Amsterdam will be reinstated on 31 March 2019.

The station at Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy is at the eastern end of Paris’ suburban line RER-A which gives a direct link into the centre of Paris. Trains run every 10 to 15 minutes. We do not sell tickets for that RER route here on our site. You can simply buy them at the station before boarding the train.
