Big travel news! 🎉 The direct Paris–Milan train is officially back!
And the good news doesn’t end there–tickets to and from Paris and Milan are starting from just €29.
After a temporary suspension in August 2023 caused by landslides in the Maurienne Valley, the direct high-speed service between France and Italy is back. This is big news! Why? Since 2023, the seamless direct journey this route is known for has had to be split, requiring a bus transfer midway. Kudos to the team who kept the journey running despite the challenges, and hats off to those who worked tirelessly to restore this direct connection!
Direct trains from two leading rail operators
Both Italy and France’s national rail providers offer direct trains on this Paris to Milan route, giving travellers more options to choose from and more ways to save.
France–Italy TGV INOUI: travel from €29
With the direct service fully restored, SNCF, France’s state train provider, is ready to operate this 7-hour, 7-minute journey once again. The TGV INOUI’s much-anticipated maiden voyage is set for 31 March, and tickets for travel through 4 July are already available to book.
To sweeten the deal, TGV INOUI tickets are starting from €29 (for Second Class travel) and €39 (for First Class travel). And no matter which class you choose, you can look forward to exceptional comfort throughout your journey.
