The high-speed train from Lille to Nice leaves Lille at lunchtime. The return run from Nice to Lille is just after nine in the morning. If the timings of this TGV don’t suit your schedule, there are several alternative connections each day, many of which involve a change of station in Paris.

The train from Lille to the French Riviera sweeps south from Flanders through Picardie, skirting the eastern edge of Paris to pick up the high-speed line from Paris to Provence. Then it’s a fast run south to Marseille. The final stretch of the journey tracks east at more modest speeds along the coast of Provence.
