The cheapest price is the lowest fare we've ever found for this journey. These prices can usually be found by searching when booking opens but they vary due to availability, which depends on factors like the day of the week or time of year.

Cambridge Express

It is easy to travel by train from London to Cambridge. Fast trains run non-stop from London King’s Cross station. This Cambridge Express service is operated by Great Northern and takes under 50 minutes to reach Cambridge.

There is an alternative but much slower service from London Liverpool Street to Cambridge, with Abellio Greater Anglia trains.

London Kings Cross to Cambridge

The trains used on the fast run from London King’s Cross to Cambridge are not in their first youth, but they positively dash all the way to the Fenland university city. Most Cambridge Express services run non-stop to Cambridge. It’s a breathless ride which tracks north through London’s suburbs to reach open countryside near Welwyn. You’ll catch a glimpse of the world’s first garden city as you speed through Letchworth and before long the train is slowing for arrival at Cambridge.
