Munich Hbf to Bolzano

The journey to Bolzano starts at Munich Hauptbahnhof. Sit on the right side of the EuroCity train for the best views as the train travels south-east from Munich towards the Austrian border. The principal Austrian city served by this train is Innsbruck. Heading south from Innsbruck, the train climbs up steeply to the Brenner Pass and the Italian frontier. Beyond the border, the line winds slowly down through the South Tyrol – a part of the Alto Adige region of Italy which is largely German speaking – to reach the city of Bolzano (Bozen in German).
