Altaria
The train from Madrid to Ronda is the simplest way to travel between the Spanish capital and this Andalusian mountain town. If the timings of the direct trains don’t fit into your plans, there is an additional late morning option from Madrid, with a single change of train at Antequera-Santa Ana, which takes about 30 mins longer than the direct trains.
This is a journey full of interesting sights as the train speeds through the Toledo Hills and the Sierra Morena to Andalucía. The final part of the journey has wonderful views of the hills that dominate the Ronda region.
Madrid to Ronda
The direct Altaria high-speed trains leave Madrid Atocha station. The first half of the journey is fast until the train leaves the dedicated high-speed line at Antequera-Santa Ana for its final run to Ronda. Trains stop three or four times on the way, including in Córdoba.
