Thello EuroCity

There are direct EuroCity trains each day from Milan to Nice. The service is operated by Thello. The train first tracks south-west from Milan to reach the coast of Liguria at Genoa. From here the entire route to Nice broadly follows the Mediterranean coast. You’ll cross the Italian-French border between Ventimiglia and Menton.

Milan to Nice-Ville

The direct Thello trains from Milan to Nice leave from Milan Centrale station. The trains are classified as EuroCity services, but in terms of their design and on-board facilities, they are broadly similar to the Frecciabianca trains used on domestic routes within Italy. This is not a high-speed service, with trains on the Milan to Nice route making 13 or 14 intermediate stops. Arrival in Nice is at Nice Ville station.
