You’ll see changing Spanish landscapes on this journey from the Spanish capital through historic Aragon to Navarre. The first part of the journey uses the high-speed line from Madrid towards Zaragoza and Barcelona, but the train leaves that route just beyond Calatayud, following the Ebro Valley upstream and eventually cutting through the hills to Pamplona.
Madrid to Pamplona/Iruña

High-speed Alvia trains leave Madrid Atocha station for Pamplona and stop two to four times along the way. The railway station in Pamplona is about 1.5 km north-west of the Old Town and is connected to the latter by bus.
