Getting to Stansted Airport

London Stansted Airport is Britain’s third-busiest airport, offering flights to more than 200 destinations in 40 countries. London Stansted is actually 65km from London's city centre, but only a 45 mins train ride to London's Liverpool Street station, in the heart of the city.

There is only one terminal at Stansted Airport and the station is at the terminal. There is free wifi for four hours per registered device per day.

Transport and connections

Trains between Stansted Airport and Liverpool Street in London depart every 15 mins and the journey time is 45 mins. It is called the Stansted Express and is run by Abellio. Stansted Express trains are modern, comfortable trains, with free wi-fi available.

From London's Liverpool Street station you can easily transfer to other London stations such as Euston or Kings Cross International.

As well as going into central London, you can also get trains to and from Stansted Airport to destinations such as Abellio Greater Anglia, one of many UK regional train operators) to destinations such as Cambridge (about 33 mins), Birmingham (about 2 hrs 30 mins), Norwich (about 1 hr 54 mins) and other cities in eastern England and the Midlands.
