Go back in time and immerse yourself in the history of this alpine village at the Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis. Pay your respects at the tranquil Mountaineers' Cemetery, here you will find the Grave of the Unknown Climber, dedicated to the more than 500 deaths that have occurred on the Matterhorn. Enjoy a walk around the village taking in the architecture and surroundings - things such as the Bronze Alphorn that can be found on the steps of the Gemeindehaus. Once you've gotten a feel for the village, on a clear day, take a trip on the Gornergratbahn to the Gornergrat for spectacular views of the Matterhorn.
