Airport train station guide
Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) has four terminals (2, 3, 4 and 5) and is located 37km north of central Stockholm in the province of Uppland.
The airport has its own train station called Arlanda Central Station, located directly below SkyCity (the airport's central area), between Terminals 4 and 5.
Transport and connections
SJ, Sweden's national train operator, operates around 70 direct long-distance trains to and from Arlanda Central Station (also called Arlanda C). It serves destinations in the Lake Mälaren Valley region around Stockholm and the Dalarna and Norrland regions, which include major cities like Uppsala, Gävle, Sundsvall, Östersund and Åre.
Arlanda Express is the fastest and most environmentally friendly way of travelling between Arlanda Airport and Stockholm Central Station. Trains leave every 15 mins and the journey takes about 18 mins. Arlanda Express has two stations at the airport: Arlanda South (Terminals 2, 3 and 4) and Arlanda North (Terminal 5).
Train travellers who get on and off at Arlanda Central station pay an access fee of 120 SEK. If the fee is not included in your train fare, you can pay at the station counter in SkyCity, where the train station is located.
Bus stations are located outside Terminals 2, 4 and 5. Buses travel from the airport to Stockholm city centre in less than 45 mins.
Taxi stands are located directly outside the terminals.
