It is easy to travel from Paris to Antwerp by train. Every day high-speed Thalys trains leave the French capital for Antwerp. As both France and Belgium are party to the Schengen Agreement, you speed across the border between the two countries without passport or customs formalities.

Paris to Antwerp

The direct high-speed Thalys trains to Antwerp leave from Paris Gare du Nord. The route tracks north through Picardie into French Flanders. Just before Lille, the train swings off towards the east, crossing the Belgian border and continuing to its one and only intermediate stop at Brussels Midi. From there, it’s just another 35 minutes on to Antwerp. The entire journey takes about two hours. You’ll arrive at the underground platforms at Antwerp Central, which give little inkling of the glorious station which lies just above. Take time to look around before leaving.
