It is a very easy journey by train from Geneva Airport to Aigle (for the mountain resorts at Leysin, Les Diablerets and Champéry). Direct trains from Geneva Airport to Aigle leave from the main airport railway station which is underground; it is well signed from the main terminal building. The route is served by Swiss InterRegio trains, making six intermediate stops along the way.
This is a magnificent journey for sightseeing. On a good day, you’ll have wonderful views across Lake Geneva to the Alps beyond. There is an especially lovely stretch east of Lausanne as the railway cuts through the Lavaux vineyards. Just before arriving at Aigle, you’ll see the famous Château de Chillon on the lakeshore to your right.
