Regional Train
It is just a short trip on a regional train from Bologna to Ravenna. The railway follows a dead-straight course from Bologna to Imola, the autostrade to the left of the train and (on a clear day) the Apennine Mountains visible on the right. Beyond Imola, the train to Ravenna leaves the main line and runs north-east to Ravenna. No prizes for stunning scenery on this short journey, but it’s a nice break from high-speed trains.
