Thello night train
The direct overnight train from Venice to Paris is a cheap and easy way to travel between the two cities. This is a perfectly timed overnight journey. The train leaves Venice early enough that you have time to relax on board before turning in for the night. The overnight route skirts the edge of Lake Maggiore, passing through the Simplon Tunnel to reach Switzerland. Arrival in Paris is about half past nine in the morning.
