The direct trains to Cologne all leave from Amsterdam Centraal station. Most of the trains on this route are ICE services operated jointly by the Dutch and German rail administrations. In addition to the ICEs, you’ll also find an occasional German Intercity train plying the route. Trains make four or five stops along the way. In Cologne you’ll arrive at Hauptbahnhof station, which is right in the city centre next to the celebrated cathedral.
