Cork, definitely to experience when you visit Ireland

At once boisterous and cultured, the self-styled People‘s Republic of Cork exudes confidence. Sliced through by the waters of the Lee, history mingles easily with modernity, enlivened by a college town buzz.

About Ireland

You can start your visit with the protestant neogothic St Finbarr cathedral and its mosaics from the 19th century. The beer lovers will discover the secrets of production of the world-famous brown beer of Cork, the Beamish, at the Beamish Brewery.
You should also see the old prison of Cork, the City Gaol, which offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about the prisonners life during the 19th century. At the Cork Butter Museum, the art of fabrication of the butter from the end of the 17th century will be revealed to you.

If you are fond of shopping, you will enjoy a stroll on St Patrick’s street, a covered canal which comes out on the picturesque St Patrick’s Bridge.
