Your full-day tour starts in Amsterdam’s Museum District in the morning. Your guide will first take you to the Van Gogh Museum. Bypass the entrance queue with your skip-the-line ticket and head directly inside to see the museum’s magnificent artwork.

The Van Gogh Museum is home to the world's largest collection of paintings by Van Gogh, with more than 200 paintings as well as many letters and drawings. You can also see the work of those who inspired Van Gogh throughout various displays of art by other 19th-century painters. Your art historian guide will teach you about select paintings and about Van Gogh’s life, plus answer any questions you have.

After the tour, you have free time to browse the museum shop and can enjoy a cup of coffee at the museum café.

Next it's time to admire Amsterdam's outdoor beauty with a 1.5-hour boat tour along the city's picturesque canals. Relax as you cruise along the elaborate ring of UNESCO World Heritage-listed canals, passing charming bridges, canal houses, classic Dutch gables, churches, towers and other wonderful waterfront highlights. On board, you’ll be served a light lunch to enjoy with your fellow travelers.

Following the canal cruise, your guide will take you to the Rijksmuseum, a Dutch national museum dedicated to the arts and history of the Netherlands. Enjoy skip-the-line entry and head straight inside for a small-group tour.

This recently renovated museum has a magnificent collection of artwork, crafts and historical pieces dating back from the year 1200 to today. Admire and learn about masterpieces such as Vermeer’s Milkmaid and Rembrandt’s Night Watch. The entire collection of the Rijksmuseum is an incredible one million items, with 8,000 on display in 80 galleries.

After your Rijksmuseum tour, your guide will take you to Coster Diamonds -- one of the oldest still-operating diamond polishing factories -- where you will receive an entrance ticket to the Diamond Museum. The guided portion of your tour ends here, and you're free to continue exploring independently.

Excellent experience...took two more tours as a result.
Tour left on time, guide was informative, charming, organized. We did exactly as described....Van Gogh Museum no lines for us, canal tour, pleasant lunch, then Rijksmuseum. Schedule was reasonable and we kept to it. Highlights of museums seen and decribed.
Tour was exactly what we would have hoped for from all aspects.
Great surprise!!! Would definetely recommend.

Being able to experience both of these museums plus a canal tour in such an efficient way was most enjoyable. We had an excellent guide who shared her knowledge of art and the city with us.

Absolutely wonderful! Our guide was Steven who was very knowledgeable about art, the city, and the painters' lives. He had lots of interesting and little known facts to share. The lunch on the canal boat was really a nice treat as well certainly not small like some reviewers said. The small group and not waiting in the long lines made it perfect for people like us who only had a day to visit these sites. As a side note, our Viking River cruise host wrote down your company's address because she had not heard of you and was impressed with the tour too. I told her I always book tours with you when I go places. The last time was when I went to New Orleans and had exceptional tours there as well. Your local guides are always top notch and your prices more than fair for the quality of the tours. Will definitely use you again!

We had a wonderful experience on our day long tour with Viator! Our guide, Steven, was exceptional. He was informative, fun and a pleasure to spend a day with. He knew his facts and the history and he was very easy to understand. His English was great! We would recommend Viator again!

I was amazed how much we saw in one day. We could never have done it on our own, yet it wasn't rushed, . Tina was a fantastic guide- enthusiastic, knowledgeable and entertaining. .

Our guide was great!!! He really knew the history of Amsterdam and all of the museums and the contents. The price for the experience was a little bit pricey, but overall it was worth it to skip the line and literally save hours on line.

Our tour guide Steven did an outstanding job of sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for his city and it's art. We were able to quickly enter the museums and he was able to show us the highlights of both the Van Gogh and the Rijksmuseum. He was able to keep the group together and engaged and we were able to move right up front to get the best view of each masterpiece. The canal tour with lunch was a great break in the middle of the museum tours and the lunch was lovely and the canal cruise a delight. Great Tour!!

Absolutely a must!!! Tina our guide was exceptional.

What a lovely day! Even if there had not been any lines, getting this tour for the guide and the canal cruise alone would have been totally worth it. Our guide Marta, an art student, was able to give us otherwise unknown insights into the paintings, the artists' lives, and the ways to read a painting. We had a wonderful time!

Steve was a fantastic tour guide. Our entire family from 14 to 45 totally enjoyed the day and he had our 3 boys laughing and really taking in the entire experience. I would highly recommend this tour. Great history and exposure to art. It gave us a great little mini tour on the boat so we could plan out our next days adventure and Steve was a great help in pointing things out.

Our tour guide, Elsa, was wonderful - great knowledge about the two museums including the art, but also a life long resident of Amsterdam who gave us a perspective that was invaluable. She also took the time to walk us to the Canal Cruise and stood waiting with us until the boat arrived. A great day!

We had a wonderful tour guide and the museums were awesome.

August 2015

The guide was great and we thoroughly enjoyed his explanations at the 2 museums and found that part of the tour really worthwhile. The cruise was disappointing. The boat was crowded and the box lunch could have been better. However, the disappointing part was that if you wanted to stand on the outside deck of the boat in order to see much better, you couldn't hear the taped narration so you didn't know what you were looking at. I still highly recommend the tour because the museum part was excellent-very interesting and informative.

August 2015

This was a great tour. Steve, our guide, was knowledgeable, interesting, informative and patient! The stories he told about the artwork we saw in both museums were excellent. To be in the museum and see the amazing artwork is one thing, to have Steve there telling you the story behind the painting or sculpture and providing the artists perspective and history was quite wonderful. We are so glad we took this tour. Very excellent--Thanks to Steve!! August 7, 2015
