Lyon Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lyon on a hop-on hop-off tour! Sightsee at your own pace aboard an open-top, double-decker bus. You can hop on and off as many times as you like at any of the 12 stops along the route to see Lyon's top attractions, including the Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourvière, the Place Bellecour, the Cathedral Saint Jean Baptiste, Old Lyon or one of the several urban parks in the city.
With the choice of a one- or two-day ticket and the flexibility to create your own itinerary, this hop-on hop-off tour is the best way to see Lyon’s most popular sights.
What You Can Expect
Start your hop-on hop-off tour through Lyon at the Place Bellecour, the Lyon Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Jean Baptiste) or any of the other 12 stops on the route. As the open-top, double-decker bus transports you around town, hop on and off as many times as you like and wherever you like to see the best of Lyon at your own pace (full tour duration without stops: approximately 1.3 hours).
Spend some time at the famous Place Bellecour, the starting point for the annual Festival of Lights (in December only) and home to a statue of Louis XIV (known as the Sun King), which has been watching over the Lyonnais (people of Lyon) and visitors from all over the world since the 1820s. Visit the Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourvière, which was built high above the rooftops of Lyon and boasts a panoramic view of the city. Or hop off at the Mur Peint stop to admire impressive frescoes painted on several house facades.
The hop-on hop-off stops also include beautiful museums, including the Museum of Fine Arts (Musée des Beaux Arts), Old Lyon (Vieux Lyon) with its ancient Renaissance buildings, and Rue de la République, Lyon's main shopping street.

We wish they had included the Blue Lagoon, but the trip was very good. We especially appreciate that they stop at/very near the cruise port.
Excellent stops, on time
This was a great trip. We were able to get off in key places e.g., the Roman ruins, visit and take photos, then get back on the bus later in the day. I would gladly do this trip again.
An excellent way of seeing Lyon at a very reasonable price.

This is the best way to see the city :D
excellent. seen great deal of city and really impressed bus took us up the mountain to the cathedral at the top
It's a nice way to see Lyon as there are a lot of hills and it gives you a great chance to see it all without too much walking. I managed to get some great shots and mostly from the bus. Great idea and well priced.
We purchased the 2 day bus tour and we're glad we did. We were able to see everything we wanted to see and had extra time to spend at the different stopping points. Everything worked out perfectly. We enjoyed our visit to Lyon. It was great!
It is the only way to see this city. We loved the beautiful Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière the inside is the most opulent we have seen and the view of the city was magnificent. The ruins of Lugdunum, Fourviere Hill, Are worth a look too. We did the full loop first and then hopped off the bus at the sites we wanted to view.
Perfect way to get to know Lyon especially when at a business trip and time is restricted.
Great stay at Lyon and the bus was a great way to move around, this place had the most Gypsies and people who found a gold ring in front of your feet expecting you to claim it and then demanding a reward for you greed as the ring was a 2cent piece of junk. Watch out for any people with a statistic sheet for whatever charity! Pick Pockets
Loved seeing Lyon for the first time. This tour was very thorough.

The tour was everything I'd hoped and showed me the main sights in accordance with the plan. I enjoyed the visit and would recommend it to newcomers to Lyon as it was a good orientation of the city.
Wonderful. Good commentary. Best way to see a city when you have limited time.
Great tour taking in all you need to see in Lyon. The highlight was the trip to Basilique de Notre-Dame de Fourvière. Get off here for great views of the city.
Another great way to orient yourself in the city. Would like to see them come around a little more regularly, but excellent for getting to all the highlights of Lyon.
It was a wonderful overview of Lyon. I took terrific pictures of sights that would have been difficult to see in one day in any other way - at such a good price. Only negative was that there were only 4 bus runs a day so would have to wait 1 1/2 hrs. for the next bus if I had gotten off at a stop.
informative. on time, pleasant driver...
Thank you for having this tour available to the public since it is so easy to take the bus and see all important places ( for us, first timers ) that we will be taking this tour next time we travel to Europe.
Good experience, however time between drop off and next bus too long, aalso lunch break too long, it is not a continuous loop with multiple buses at this time of the year
Very informative tour and friendly staff - the bus driver traversed the windy hilly streets with great ease and stopped often to allow photo opportunites - would recommend this to anyone wanting to see all the famous sites of Lyon
I think this is a great way to get an overview of Lyon. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there was a bike race the day I went and the tour was just 1 round trip around Lyon, and we couldn't get on or off. It was still nice, but I wish they would have told me at the time of booking.
Very good narration.
