An elegant, European empire (once) Vienna, known locally as Wien, is elegance personified. The city that was ruled by the mighty Hapsburg Empire for over 600 years now offers a genteel atmosphere of history, culture and beauty. You can still see the remnants of their expansive kingdom – with not just one, but two palaces in Vienna. The Schönbrunn palace at the edge of town was their summer residence. You know, just a little place to sit back, relax and rule. Those who lived there caged themselves in – along with animals. You can now visit the Tiergarten, the oldest zoo in the world. The main palace, the Hofburg, dominates the town center. This sprawling complex grew with the family empire from the 13th century until just before WWI. And while no one has lived here in over 90 years, the palace still functions as the Austrian President’s office and is home to government workers and the prized Vienna Boys’ Choir.     "We took the train from wein to zurich and we were not sure what to expect for the room. I would say that the only thing that was not the best is the space to be for 2 people in a small room. The room is very small but you have everything in there. you have lavatory, food the toilet y very close, and the window to look in a very nice night made our trip the best. The service was really good and I liked it a lot. "

    Night Train to Zurich  |
    "It was a very good experience travelling by the night train from the Vienna to Zurich. The night train started at very late hours around 11.45 pm and we have to wait for it in the train station for a few hours as it was pretty cold at winter now. The train looked a bit old and the the 2 pax sleepers rooms we booked was small. We have 2 big luggages and that already take up most of the space beside the bed and hardly can find any other space. Luckily my husband and I were not fat, we are able to fit into the 2 small beds, 1 in the upper and the other in the lower decker. There is a small basin in the room and it looked old too. By the next morning when we reach Zurich, the scenery outside the train refreshed us a lot. A light breadfast was served to us from the train crew and his look was serious and never smile. I think if the train crew could be a little bit friendly and that could make us feel happier a little. Overall, the night train is not as comfortable as the trains we travelled in the day time. "
