Paying for a booking

  • What credit cards does Rail Europe accept online?

Rail Europe accepts American Express, Diner’s Club, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa. You may use any of these credit cards on our website.

  • Can I use more than one credit card to pay for my order?

Yes. You can enter up to 10 different credit cards for a single purchase. At the time of payment, use the “Add additional card” button to display all credit card options. After entering each credit card’s information, you can modify the amount to be charged to each individual card. You’ll need to make sure that the total charged for all credit cards matches the total of your order.

  • Can I use a foreign credit card to pay for my order?

Unfortunately, you cannot. Rail Europe requires a North American credit card to be used when placing an order on our website.

  • My credit card has been declined. What should I do next?

First, make sure that you have entered your credit card information correctly and that the funds required are available in your account as the transaction may have been declined by your card issuer for these reasons.

To protect our customers, we also employ an order verification system to help us identify and block suspicious transactions. It is possible that certain characteristics associated with your order or method of payment have triggered a false positive with our order verification system. If that is the case, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and kindly invite you to call our contact center at 1-800-622-8600 in the USA or 1-800-361-RAIL (7245) in Canada or 01-800-112-6680 in Mexico to speak with one of our Travel Consultants who will assist you in finalizing your order. Alternatively, you can try to use a different credit card as well.
