  • How do I book a Rail ’n Drive pass on your website?

    Rail ‘n Drives cannot be purchased directly from our website at this time. If you’re interested in purchasing a Rail ’n Drive pass, find the product page for the Rail ’n Drive you’d like to buy. Then complete a quick questionnaire, and we’ll prepare a personalized Rail ‘n Drive package quote for you.

  • How do I reserve my car?

    We’ll contact you to find out where and when you want to reserve it. Then we’ll set up the reservations and finalize your order.

    If you want to make your own reservation, please note the following: tThe car needs to be confirmed over the phone with the vendor a minimum of 3 days prior to pick-up, the car confirmation is subject to availability and customers walking up to the rental (Hertz/Avis) counter to make a reservation are not accepted.

    In Europe, you can call the local office. When making reservations with the car rental company, be sure to include the appropriate program code, found on the voucher.

  • When can I reserve my car?

    You can reserve your car at any time after you’ve purchased the Rail ’n Drive pass. It’s best to reserve your car before you depart for Europe to ensure availability at the location of the car type you want.

    The car needs to be confirmed over the phone with the vendor a minimum of 3 days prior to pick-up. Car confirmation is subject to availability. Customers walking up to the Hertz/Avis counter to rent a car are not accepted.

    Rail Europe will gladly make a car reservation on your behalf. Just advise us when and where you want to reserve your car. Then we’ll set up the reservations and finalize your order.

  • What happens if I’m not sure where I want to use my car days? Can I book the reservation in Europe?

    Car reservations may be made in Europe, but please note that the car needs to be confirmed over the phone with the rental company a minimum of 3 days prior to pick-up. Car category is subject to availability and walkups to the Hertz/Avis counter are not accepted.
