The Virgin trains cater to the business and vacation traveler in many ways. But they also cater, quite literally, with a broad range of food options sure to please all. Even the fussiest of kids and grownups. Thanks to a quite remarkable onboard shop offering a selection of light snacks and sandwiches, drinks, magazines and more- available on every train. You can purchase anything from fairtrade coffee, to hard liquor and soft drinks. And if you’re just too content to move, a roving snack cart will come your way. On Board Services

Traveling second-class aboard the Virgin train, doesn’t mean traveling second fiddle. There are great and welcoming amenities including an onboard shop offering a wide range of hot, cold and alcoholic drinks as well as tasty sandwiches and snacks, magazines and more for purchase. You can buy Wifi or listen to your in-seat audio for free.  You’ll also find baby-changing areas, disabled travelers and wheelchair facilities and luggage storage in each coach with overhead space for additional bags.

Traveling with your family? Children ages  3-6 will receive a VKids bag. The bags include books, games, activity sheets, crayons, a fun magazine, and a traveler’s log to record favorite memories of seeing Britain by rail. Available at onboard shop.

Services at the Station

You’ll find eticket machines next to the ticket counters. Major stations typically offer a variety of shopping, dining options and an information center. Kids acitivity tables are available in the station waiting rooms. Check specific station information if you’re interested in a particular service.
