Meals & Concessions

Scandinavian bar car

We’ve made traveling around Scandinavia an even more fulfilling experience. X2000 travelers in premium first class trains will receive a complimentary 3 course meal served at your seat, as well as a free refreshment and fruits. But what would a trip in these parts be without the chance to assemble your own meal as well? (It is, after all, home to IKEA.) That’s why you’ll find a bright, cheery, well-stocked restaurant/buffet car on most major routes. With sandwiches, light snacks, drinks and goodies available for purchase that can satisfy any taste. And you can eat right there, or bring it back to the comfort of your cushy, roomy seat. All in all, there’s something to savor everywhere.

On Board Services

On-board services will include a welcome drink, in-seat power outlets, a complimentary newspaper and no luggage restrictions. (If you can carry it, you can bring it.)

Depending on the train, it may also include special baby care and children’s play areas, on-board radio, pet-friendly compartments or seat sections and cinema cars with recently released movies on some night trains.

Services at the Station

Major stations typically offer a variety of shopping, dining options and an information center.  Smaller stations may only have ticket counters. Check specific station information if you’re interested in a particular service.
