RENFE

Seating Options

Everything about the RENFE train system today is designed to help you appreciate the splendor of Spain’s yesterday through its windows. Not that there isn’t plenty of cosmopolitan views for you, too. Take the interior. It’s crisp and sleek, with every modern amenity. From video and audio programming at your fingertips, to seats that recline and are the height of comfy. There’s generous legroom and plenty of room to roam (after all, it’s not restrictive like an airplane). And the  first-class carriages have dedicated staff to serve on them.

Meals & Concessions

Food service on a RENFE train is designed to make sure every one of your senses is completely satisfied on the trip. That’s why there’s a sophisticated a la carte menu for first-class passengers. The meals are included in the price of your ticket and served right at your seat. You'll travel in one of the most comfortable seats imaginable, with your own choice of entertainment options from the at-seat video & audio options, not to mention great views. It would be hard to find a more pleasing place to eat than that, but should you choose, you could always go to the dining car as well. Its light food, yummy snacks and sandwiches are available for purchase any time of day.

On Board Services

In addition to the amazing views, the RENFE trains are loaded with distractions for adults and children alike. You’ll find audio and video systems at some first-class seats, as well as children's board games and nursery facilities on select routes.

Services at the station

Included in the price of deluxe sleeper accommodations on the night train is access to AVE lounges at the rail station. These lounges usually have complimentary snacks, drinks, and newspapers, a quiet zone, and a departure board to ensure that you don’t miss your train.  Major stations typically offer a variety of shopping and dining options. Many have been updated, with clear directions and various amenities. Check specific station information if you’re interested in a particular service.
