Meals & Concessions

Travelers can choose from a wide selection of libations, including Fendant—Switzerland’s famous white wine made from the Chasselas grape. Your Fendant will be even more unique as you sip from the Glacier Express’s famous tilted glass, made especially for coping with the journey’s steep terrain.

While aboard the Glacier Express, travelers can also get beverages and snacks delivered to their seat by the train’s Railbar staff.  Travelers in first-class may choose to reserve a 3-course meal that includes soup in the winter or salad during the summer, meat with vegetables and side dishes, and dessert or a selection of cheeses. Choose the menu of the day or opt to order "a la carte".  Either way you’ll experience authentic Swiss cuisine, local beers, wines, or champagne. Of course for the traveler with a sweet tooth, tasty Swiss chocolate also is available.

On Board Services

When traveling aboard the Glacier Express, will include panoramic club seating, a 3-course meal in restaurant (reservation required) or meal at seat (on certain summer trains). Also audio commentary with interesting route information and a memento. Choose from souvenirs such as post cards, inclined glass, hat, chocolate or travel guides, for an additional charge.
