The Altaria is something of a technological marvel with its ability to seamlessly go from traditional rail to high speed. And smooth transitions continue inside the luxury of the Preferente cabin. With reclining, spacious seats that let you go from hectic to happy with ease. But what is spacious? Well, to Altaria’s engineers it’s a seat width of almost 20” and legroom of over 51”. And what if you’d like to transition into work or play? Each seat is equipped with a table, audio/video, a trashcan, armrests and a footrest. Plus there’s space for luggage in overhead racks. We haven’t even mentioned effortlessly transitioning from one city center to another surrounded by simply splendid views. Even considering the spectacle of engineering you’re traveling in, that is without question the greatest transition of all.

Meals & Concessions
The charms of the train are unparalleled. To witness the varied landscapes, the local color, the occasional changing of the seasons. And sometimes that changing of the seasons is just salt to pepper. Because nothing is forgotten with your Preferente Class ticket, food included. In addition to a welcome drink, a fine meal is built into the price of your ticket and served at your seat. The menu will vary in accordance with your time of travel, as will the available drinks- from juice to soda to wine. Some shorter distance trips may not have the at seat service, in which case you’ll find a café car with abundant temptations available for purchase. In Preferente Class, you’ll find everything has been done to suit your taste. Exactly as it should be.
On Board Services
You’ll find the Altaria trains have exceptional onboard facilities befitting a Preferente Class ticket. In addition to the extraordinary comfort and spaciousness is a complimentary newspaper, audio/video service with headphones, and a full-service crew to make your trip as pleasant as possible. Along with your included at-seat meal with wine, you’ll find a stroll to the onboard café can also provide a variety of satisfying munchies.
Services at the station
Your Preferente Class ticket gives you free parking (except at Madrid Puerta de Atocha station) and Lounge access in the station for easy relaxation before departure. Additionally, most stations will have shops, information centers and luggage services available as well.
