The Glasgow Queen Street train station was opened in 1842. It is the smaller of the city's two main line railway terminals. This station is the third-busiest station in Scotland servicing trains 8 trains per hour to Edinburgh and frequent trips to and from Stirling, Oban and other surrounding cities. Glasgow Queen Street Station is considered to be the fifth busiest station in the United Kingdom.
