Overview

Mulhouse is a jumping-off spot for jaunts into the Alsace countryside. French voices waft from half-timbered Germanic buildings and zingy Riesling wines are poured for visitors to musty wine cellars. The city’s proud industrial heritage is on display in a gaggle of intriguing technical museums.

About France

The City Hall from the 16th century houses the historic museum of Mulhouse. This edifice listed as an Historic Monument since 1961 is endowed with picturesque outside trompe-l’oeil. The inhabitants can boast about having interesting museums with an excellent reputation. One of the most famous is the Automobile Museum where car lovers can find some 400 models like Rolls Royce, Bugatti...

The French Railway Museum plunges you at night to appreciate the discovery of the locomotives and trains.

  • very easy, train on time |
"The train was on time, both departing and arriving, it was easy to order the tickets on line and get them from the machine in the station. Our senior status gave us quite a reasonable price. It was very nice having the food car to get water and coffee, etc. All in all, a very pleasant trip. If you can, sit in the upstairs part of the car for better visibility. "

"I had a global eurail pass but still had to pay a reservation fee. This is inconvenient for those with a pass. I didn'tlike the fact that all express trains in France require a booking for those with a pass. "
