What You Can Expect
Meet your guide near Trajan’s Column in central Rome, and then set off to explore the sights of Ancient Rome with your fun-loving group of moms, dads, grandparents and youngsters. As you walk, enjoy role-playing sessions and fun challenges — designed by an early childhood educational specialist — that aim to keep your kids engaged and excited about the incredible ruins that abound.
Admire Trajan’s Market and Trajan’s Column, and listen to stories that bring the time-worn monuments to life. Most of Ancient Rome’s relics and ruins are clustered throughout the Roman Forum, so head there to explore and discover the history that’s set in the site’s stones.
After posing for photos by the Temple of Caesar and hearing tales about the power of Imperial Rome with the help of some attention-grabbing visual aids, continue to your tour’s highlight: the iconic Rome Colosseum. With a history of emperors, gladiators, lions and battles, there are few monuments in the world that can spark imagination like the Colosseum.
Skip the long entrance lines with your priority-access ticket, and explore the ground floor of the impressive amphitheater with your guide. As you walk, enjoy anecdotes and stories about the gladiators to create a vivid picture of the past. Participation is encouraged in the stories, so feel free to ask questions and get your kids involved in the open and interactive environment.
Having enjoyed up to 40 minutes inside the Colosseum, stroll back outside and say your goodbyes to your guide as your family-friendly Colosseum tour finishes.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. This tour is geared toward primary school aged kids, and they do a great job.
This tour was fantastic! My son Amar is 8 years old and he was captivated by the guide who told a whole story of Rome and made it very engaging for the kids and parents also. there were lots of little activities along the way and a little quiz leaflet to discuss in the evening with the children. There were so many facts that my son remembered and was able to talk about. This tour was the highlight of our stay in Rome. each child was also given a small gift. The guide we had was amazing with the children, very patient also and was able to deal with children of all ages and involve them in conversation about Rome. Well done to her! She made the tour unforgettable.
Very good. Well organised and fun for 8 year old son
If you want your kids to see the colosseum, this is the tour to do. Our 5 year Old was only mildly bored at times, our 7 year old was fully engaged. Enthusiastic and high energy guide tried really hard. It was a tour for children which the adults went to too, rather than children being dragged around with a bunch of adults Take your own ear phones, our 5 year old had a hard time, they were too big for her ears, she also struggled with the accent. She was probably a little bit too young. Highly recommend this as a great way for children to experience history which adults also enjoy.

We really enjoyed the tour and it was great not having to queue for two hours to get into the Colosseum! Our guide was great, very knowledgeable and even organised some games with a quiz for the children on the tour, with all the children getting a little gift! Would definitely recomend
This was an excellent tour. The guide was kid friendly but still informative and passed on a lot of information. She managed fifteen young children very well over two and a half hours. There is quite a lot of walking involved, and the Colisseum is a steep climb, but I would say if you want to tick this off the list and you have kids, you won't find a better tour than this to help you achieve that goal.
Exellent tour for my 9 years old son and us. Great experiance and activity for family with children.
Very good tour for ages 5-12. Tour guide was great, and engaged with all kids. One kid was super smart and dominated conversation, and the tour guide handled it well overall. I learned a lot from the kids questions as well. It was a really hot day, so the Roman Forum was a bit dull/hot for the average kid mine, but once we got to the collisium, all kids were alive and engaged. Kids had interactive games to play with the tour guide. Good for kids!

I forked out a lot of money for a personalized tour in the Vatican for my 2 kids 3 and 6 and my husband and myself. I wish I decided to do a Viatour family tour for the Vatican as well. The family colosseum tour was fantastic! The guide Flotina was engaging, energetic and kept it very kid friendly, for kids of all ages. It was definitely worth the money for this tour!
This tour was amazing the children and parents were so engaged, we were so lucky our tour guide was so good at including everyone and so knowledgeable. Well worth the money, word of advice, wear comfortable shoes. At the end of the tour our 9 years old said I never thought I would be see this with my own eyes, truly amazing, well planned and so instructive. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Our guide was brilliant and very engaging with the children.
Excellent. good for kids, parents and grandparents. Our guide, Chiara was very considerate of the younger kids in the tour and of those who were too small to use the head sets - she took these kids with her to the front of the group, ensuring that they could hear and keep up.
Excellent for kids, highly recommended.
We all loved the tour guide, young and old! Our guide was informative and really engaging with the children and as well as the adults! I would highly recommend!
Our kids thoroughly enjoyed it! Our your guide was fantastic and kept the children engaged.
Brilliant tour...kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide was engaging and informative..maybe a little slow to start but then improved. The breaks in between for games were a very good idea...
I would recommend this tour

Loved this tour. Just the right amount of time and information for my 12 year old. I learned a great deal as well!
This tour was excellent and pitched perfectly for children. The tour guide was excellent
This tour was awesome! Our guide was fabulous. My 7 year old daughter was captivated throughout the entire tour. I was slightly worried that she would lose interest, but not a chance. Interactive games and fun was injected into this simplfied version of Rome 'back in the day'. Perfect for us adults too. Highly recommend.
We took the Vatican City tour and were a bit apprehensive at first because we had an 18 month old toddler with us. The tour guide was excellent and our group was very considerate as well. The tour guide was very knowledgable and even answered all our queries. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Great tour, very fun!
Kids had a real good time and guide was very friendly. Awesome tour
The tour was amazing and very appropriate for children! Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining and she kept the kids very engaged! They kept asking questions and interacting with her! My son stated that it was the best tour ever!
Our guide was amazing!! Had the kids (and adults) engaged right from the start. Very interesting and caught the kids imagination. Felt we covered a lot of ground over the duration but did not feel rushed. The price was very competitive and worth every cent. We wished there were a lot more of these type of tours in Rome for other parts of the city.
