Cinque Terre Small Group Day Trip from Florence
You'll fall in love with Italy's prettiest coastal villages on a small-group excursion to the Cinque Terre from Florence. You've probably heard of the five famous fishing ports of the Cinque Terre. Now's your chance to visit these picture-postcard villages on a personalized small-group day trip that you'll treasure.
Numbers are limited to eight on this small-group tour, ensuring personalized attention from a guide.
What You Can Expect
Enjoy a full-day tour visiting the beautiful Cinque Terre (the five lands) where a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera is punctuated by picturesque small fishing villages. After driving through Tuscany into Liguria, stop in the first Cinque Terre village of Corniglia. Enjoy panoramic views and take spectacular pictures of the land and coast. After a walk through the delightful village, stop at one of the local bars for a glass of wine accompanied by bruschetta.
Your second stop is at the village of Vernazza, arguably the most beautiful of the five villages with a large open harbor, castle and church. Enjoy some free time to walk around and have a relaxing lunch (own expense) at one of the open-air restaurants that lines the waterfront, or take a stroll through the back streets for impressive views along the coast.
After your visit to Vernazza, meet your tour escort at a prearranged time for your shared boat ride to Riomaggiore. While on the boat, ogle the dramatic coastline from the water, framed against the hills. Riomaggiore is the most southern village of the Cinque Terre and its houses are built along the cliff face. Follow your tour escort for a walk around the village and then travel to pretty Manarola.
Manarola is one of the oldest villages of the Cinque Terre. Explore the narrow alleys and pretty pastel squares that epitomize the beauty of the area, and perhaps sample some renowned local wine at a cozy wine bar (own expense). After visiting Manarola, leave the Cinque Terre and make your way back Florence where you'll arrive in the early evening.
Please note: if you take this tour between October 13 and March 31, the boat ride from Riomaggiore does not take place. This is replaced with a coastal train ride.
The Via dell'Amore (Lover's Walk) is currently inaccessible due to a landslide that occurred at the end of September, 2012.
The Coastal footpath is temporarily closed.

Jonathon was an excellent guide. The towns were beautiful and we knew that we were not able to spend hours in each place but felt the times allotted were appropriate. Bring swimsuits if you would like to swim. Bring towels as we helped the local economy with our towel purchases!
I highly recommend this tour. Giacomo was a great tour guide and driver. . He made the long drive from Florence to Cinque Terre go fast by pointing out the sites to us and sharing interesting information on Italy. He was an exceptional driver, managing the curvy narrow roads with skill as we navigated our way along the coast. We stopped in three cities. He made sure to tell us where to meet and made sure we made our train and boat connections between the cities. Each was unique and lovely. Lots of photo opps for great memories. The boat ride between Rigomaggiore and Vernazza was the highlight of our trip. We got a great view of the cities from the water. We had lunch in Vernazza and then on to Corniglia before getting in the van for the drive back to Florence. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend
Our meeting point was very easy to find and right from the start , our guide Adriano was very friendly and very informative. The whole day was absolutely amazing and the places and sights we saw were just breathtaking. Everything ran very smoothly and the small group was just perfect. We highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Florence . It was a perfect day.

Has to be on your bucket list!!! The pictures I took some with us in them are from magazines... You have to see this place in your lifetime. We were able to ride in the boat as the water was calm enough. That was an experience! You can't put what you see here in words and our guide was excellent and very knowledgable!
Cinque Terre is breathtaking - don't miss it! Our guide, Fabrizio, was excellent. He navigated our group of 8 through the summer crowds effortlessly. He recommended that we have lunch in the Bell Tower restaurant and called ahead and made a reservation for our family of four. When we arrived, we found the best table in the restaurant reserved for us. The service was extremely friendly and the food was fantastic. I am so glad that we booked this day trip. It was a wonderful day and meeting Fabrizio was a treat!

Jonathan made this tour more than I could have hoped for!!! His knowledgable and helpful approach always had us in the best position to really enjoy our limited time at the Cinque Terre! I could not recommend this tour highly enough, the area is awe-inspiring and breathtaking! I would definitely ask for home when I return to Florence again for another tour!
Thank you to all the staff for making it such a great day!

Our guide/ driver Johnathan, was very professional in his communication and driving. Made friends with all 8 tourists on his bus. Very enjoyable day.
Wonderful tour. Lorenzo was an excellent driver as well as an informative tour guide. We had plenty of time in each of the four beautiful scenic villages and to also have a delicious lunch on our own of the local, not triofe al pesto.

Visually stunning! Our driver/ guide, Sergio, was knowledgeable, interesting, and a terrific driver no mean feat on those winding roads. Really glad that I went in the van with a small group, especially after walking the hilly terrain in Cinque Terre. I was able to get terrific photos and spent a wonderful day in the company of six friendly tourists. Had a wonderful lunch at the outdoor restaurant suggested by our guide. I LOVED this day trip!
Incredible, Breathtaking and enjoyable experience. I recommend Cinque Terre 100 to everyone who goes to Italy. It's absolutely spectacular. I regards to the tour... our driver was very friendly and fun. The dinner was delicious and the wine was fantastic.
Highly recommended. Our guide was friendly and informative and the group size was ideal to get to know each other and feel comfortable. The tour was well organised, we really covered a lot and had a totally memorable day.
Good one day sample of the area. Excellent tour guide.
An absolutely brilliant day! Having a small group was definitely the best way to go - such a great group of people and our wonderful driver/guide Paulo I hope I got that name correct! There was enough time to have a taste of 4 of the 5 villages. The mini-van was comfortable and the driving skills were impressive on a very narrow road. It was nice to be able to experience the train and the boat as well. A must-do trip We loved it!
Long drive but worth it- tour guide excellent- very pretty area to visit
Yaris was an excellent tour guide, very informative and ensured we had everything we needed. I am very thankful he was driving, and not any of us!
The tour was spectacular, our guide Adriano was incredible, beautiful tour and we enjoyed a lot.
We recommended this tours .

Excellent tour with a great guide who made the tour fun and was very knowledgeable.
The trip was lovely and our guide, Mauro was fantastic. He provided background information about the region and was so very helpful! Highly recommend this tour.
The tour was great. Tour guide was excellent. There was sufficient time to see things. Especially good to find out if you might like to go back some time, and where would be the best place to stay.
Although there is quite a drive from Florence to the coast, once there the scenery and the villages makes it all worthwhile. Our driver/guide was really helpful and very committed to the group and added a lot of enjoyment to the day.
This tour was amazing and one of our favorites!!! We got to do four of the five villages and each one had its own charm and unique flair. Our guide Lorenzo was fantastic and made the trip that much better. This tour is a must see... Don't miss it!!!!!
Our guide Jacamo was very good and such a good driver on those winding roads. He also reversed the tour so we were not starting with loads of other tourists. The villages are very pretty.
