Cinque Terre Small Group Day Trip from Florence
You'll fall in love with Italy's prettiest coastal villages on a small-group excursion to the Cinque Terre from Florence. You've probably heard of the five famous fishing ports of the Cinque Terre. Now's your chance to visit these picture-postcard villages on a personalized small-group day trip that you'll treasure.
Numbers are limited to eight on this small-group tour, ensuring personalized attention from a guide.
What You Can Expect
Enjoy a full-day tour visiting the beautiful Cinque Terre (the five lands) where a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera is punctuated by picturesque small fishing villages. After driving through Tuscany into Liguria, stop in the first Cinque Terre village of Corniglia. Enjoy panoramic views and take spectacular pictures of the land and coast. After a walk through the delightful village, stop at one of the local bars for a glass of wine accompanied by bruschetta.
Your second stop is at the village of Vernazza, arguably the most beautiful of the five villages with a large open harbor, castle and church. Enjoy some free time to walk around and have a relaxing lunch (own expense) at one of the open-air restaurants that lines the waterfront, or take a stroll through the back streets for impressive views along the coast.
After your visit to Vernazza, meet your tour escort at a prearranged time for your shared boat ride to Riomaggiore. While on the boat, ogle the dramatic coastline from the water, framed against the hills. Riomaggiore is the most southern village of the Cinque Terre and its houses are built along the cliff face. Follow your tour escort for a walk around the village and then travel to pretty Manarola.
Manarola is one of the oldest villages of the Cinque Terre. Explore the narrow alleys and pretty pastel squares that epitomize the beauty of the area, and perhaps sample some renowned local wine at a cozy wine bar (own expense). After visiting Manarola, leave the Cinque Terre and make your way back Florence where you'll arrive in the early evening.
Please note: if you take this tour between October 13 and March 31, the boat ride from Riomaggiore does not take place. This is replaced with a coastal train ride.
The Via dell'Amore (Lover's Walk) is currently inaccessible due to a landslide that occurred at the end of September, 2012.
The Coastal footpath is temporarily closed.

Highly recommended. Our guide was friendly and informative and the group size was ideal to get to know each other and feel comfortable. The tour was well organised, we really covered a lot and had a totally memorable day.
An absolutely brilliant day! Having a small group was definitely the best way to go - such a great group of people and our wonderful driver/guide Paulo I hope I got that name correct! There was enough time to have a taste of 4 of the 5 villages. The mini-van was comfortable and the driving skills were impressive on a very narrow road. It was nice to be able to experience the train and the boat as well. A must-do trip We loved it!
Long drive but worth it- tour guide excellent- very pretty area to visit
Yaris was an excellent tour guide, very informative and ensured we had everything we needed. I am very thankful he was driving, and not any of us!
The tour was spectacular, our guide Adriano was incredible, beautiful tour and we enjoyed a lot.
We recommended this tours .

Excellent tour with a great guide who made the tour fun and was very knowledgeable.
The trip was lovely and our guide, Mauro was fantastic. He provided background information about the region and was so very helpful! Highly recommend this tour.
The tour was great. Tour guide was excellent. There was sufficient time to see things. Especially good to find out if you might like to go back some time, and where would be the best place to stay.
Although there is quite a drive from Florence to the coast, once there the scenery and the villages makes it all worthwhile. Our driver/guide was really helpful and very committed to the group and added a lot of enjoyment to the day.
This tour was amazing and one of our favorites!!! We got to do four of the five villages and each one had its own charm and unique flair. Our guide Lorenzo was fantastic and made the trip that much better. This tour is a must see... Don't miss it!!!!!
Our guide Jacamo was very good and such a good driver on those winding roads. He also reversed the tour so we were not starting with loads of other tourists. The villages are very pretty.
Great trip. Beautiful small Italian villages.
Fantastic tour and our guide Adreano was very helpful and knowledgeable. We had an amazing time!
THE DRIVER AND FACILITIES FOR THE TOUR WERE EXCELENT. FOR FEW TIME IS RECOMMENDED, BUT IF YOU CAN EXPEND AT LEAST TWO DAYS THERE, MAYBE CAN ENJOY AND KNOW REALLY THE PLACE. IS A BEAUTIFUL AND NICE PLACE.
Such an awesome tour!
The most beautiful place in the world!
This tour was amazing!
Phenomenal tour with an expert guide. Unbelievable beauty on this rugged coastline. A snack and wine tasting is included. Don't pass on the opportunity to eat a full meal. Everyone's meal was excellent.
I'm usually not a tour person, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I thought it was well worth the money to visit these stunning coastlines. I appreciated going with a small group of eight. Our driver was efficient and attentive. One of the best days of my trip to Italy!
Excellent experience! Highly recommend!
Great tour. Our guide and driver Jacobo was excellent. He was a good driver as well as being extremely knowledgeable about the area. He was also very welcoming and likeable. The scenery is stunning and the boat trip was very good. We had a wonderful lunch looking out over the sea at one of the restaurants recommended by Jacobo. It is a long day but very worthwhile doing.
First let me say that I chose this tour because I wanted to see Cinque Terre and the surrounding countryside without having to rent a car. I wanted to travel in a small group in a van, not a large bus and I wanted to learn about the area. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, it exceeded all of our expectations. Giacomo was our guide and he was a wonderful, knowledgeable host who grew up in Florence and was very familiar with Cinque Terre. He provided us with information, fantastic vista stops along the way and free time to explore the villages on our own. I could not imagine a more perfect day, it was the highlight of our European adventure!
