    • Residents of Switzerland & Liechtenstein are not eligible to purchase or use this Swiss Half Fare Card. 
    • Swiss Half Fare Card must must be activated within 6 months of purchase date.
    • The Swiss Half Fare Card is not valid as a Swiss Museum Pass.
    • Swiss Half Fare Card is 85% refundable up to 1 year after the purchase date if the Swiss Half Fare Card has not been activated or used.
    • Travelers must either carry a passport or U.S. Military I.D. in order to travel with this Swiss Half Fare Card.
    • Swiss Half Fare Card is non refundable if lost or stolen except as covered by Rail Protection Plan™.

    Discounted offers:

    • Children under the age of 16 and traveling with a parent or legal guardian will travel free with a Swiss Family Card. Please do not add these children as travelers when purchasing a Swiss Half Fare Card – just pick up the free Swiss Family Card at a train station in Switzerland.  
     
Are there any further discounts available with this card?

There is no saver pass,youth pass or senior pass offered, but you can still obtain a free Swiss Family Card allowing children under 16 to travel free with a parent or legal guardian. This card can be picked up at a train station in Switzerland. 

Where do I purchase the 50% discounted train tickets for which I’m entitled with my Swiss Half Fare Card?
Discounted train tickets can be purchased before you leave for Europe by calling the Rail Europe Contact Center or when in Switzerland, you can purchase them at a train station when you present your Swiss Half Fare Card.
