Rail Europe Inc. Introduces the Switzerland Family Rail Sale

~50 Percent Savings on Swiss Passes and Chance to Win Sweepstakes~

White Plains, N.Y., April 12, 2010 – Rail Europe Inc. has partnered with Swiss Travel System and Switzerland Tourism to unveil the Switzerland Family Rail Sale, a wallet and family-friendly promotion. Families who book the Switzerland Family Rail Sale can travel to Switzerland and save 50 percent off select Swiss Passes when traveling with children. The Switzerland Family Rail Sale is a limited time offer and must be booked from April 21-27. Travel must take place within six months of purchase. Bookings can be made by visiting Rail Europe’s Web site or by calling Rail Europe’s contact center. The Swiss Pass is an inexpensive way to experience the country by allowing unlimited travel on all trains, boats and postal buses which make up the Swiss Travel System. It is particularly convenient for families, as kids up to 16 years of age always ride for free when accompanied by a parent, and all Swiss Pass holders get free access to more than 400 museums in Switzerland. With the Switzerland Family Rail Sale, prices on the eight-day Swiss Pass start at $288* USD for first class and $193* USD for second class. The 3-day Swiss Flexi Pass starts at $192* USD for first class and $128* USD for second class. Families may choose from a Swiss Pass, which offers eight consecutive days of travel, or a Swiss Flexi Pass, which allows passengers to select any three days for travel – consecutive or non-consecutive – within one month.

Also included in the Switzerland Family Rail Sale promotion are:

• 1 free adult ticket for the Golden Round Trip from Lucerne to Mount Pilatus (the 2nd adult gets 50 percent off & kids under 16 are free) The Golden Round Trip experience is a full or half-day family excursion that provides travel around Mount Pilatus by boat and over the mountain aboard the world’s steepest cogwheel railway and gondola cableway.
