White Plains, N.Y., July 1, 2010 – In honor of the games being held in Cologne, Germany this year and as members of the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA), Rail Europe Inc. unveils a deal on the German Rail Twin Pass.  Travelers who book the Pass online from July 1 through July 30, 2010 will save 20% on rail travel for two people exploring Germany together. Travel must take place between July 24 and August 23, 2010.

With the limited time discount, a 1st class German Twin pass will cost $215* per person (currently the pass costs $268 per person).  The Pass, available for adults in first and second class, offers five days of unlimited consecutive or non-consecutive rail travel within one month. 

The games will take place from July 31 through August 7 and will include some 12,000 participants from more than 70 countries. Travelers with a German Rail Twin Pass have access to the high-speed ICE trains and the overnight City Night Line trains, which connect all major German cities. Reservations are recommended on the ICE trains and required when traveling on the City Night Line. The Pass also features bonuses for customers, including free boat transportation on the Rhine and Moselle Rivers, a 20% discount on the Europabus Romantic Road route as well as a 50% price reduction on Lake Constance boat journeys.
